Why I recommend the 1840 East India Company One Rupee Coin…

East India Company coins are probably the most popular coins we offer today, but their history goes back over 400 years and this is the only historic EIC coin I have been able to source.

It’s the first ever East India Company One Rupee coin, issued in 1840 – 2 years after Queen Victoria ascended to the throne. The company was at its peak under Queen Victoria and the Queen’s importance to India was underlined when she was made Empress of India in 1870.

Historic East India Company coins are almost impossible to find, but you can own this 178 year old EIC first today.
